The graduate development program lasts for two years. It allows you to experience real work in real teams, with support and training to enable you to take on a mainstream development or testing role.

• The first month—Upon starting at NDS you will be allocated to a team. During the first month you will attend a number of in-house courses to introduce you to the industry and the company. You will also have time to familiarize yourself with the products your team is responsible for and the technologies they employ.
• The following months—You will be given tasks and projects to work on and you will receive support from your team and your assigned mentor. In addition to on-the-job training, external training courses which are appropriate to your development needs and the needs of your team will also be identified.
• Regular graduate days—Approximately every two months, you will have an opportunity to spend a day with the other program participants. These days will enable you to find out about other areas of the company, get to know one another, and exchange experiences.
• The graduate coordinator—There is a graduate coordinator at each site (Staines and Chandlers Ford) who looks after the interests of the graduates as a whole. This person makes sure the program is being followed and provides information and assistance as required, independent of your line manager.
